During the AIChE Spring Meeting, together with the Ethylene Producers’ Committee, we gave the lecture “Predicting the remaining life of cracking coils: an approach based on material degradation”.
This lecture presents a case study on predicting the remaining useful life of cracking coils in an ethylene cracking furnace, taking into consideration material deterioration.
Engemasa has developed a new methodology for predicting the remaining useful life of a cracking coil furnace, focusing on the gradual deterioration of the tube material due to damage accumulation.
As well as sharing this study with all the participants, we had the opportunity to meet and get to know new people involved in the ethylene sector and find space for very important and interesting debates on chemical safety in engineering processes, which go hand in hand with our investment in quality and constant research.
